HOPE HAS A PLACE IN OUR HEARTS

Hope is a positive and potent spiritual practice with the power to
pull us through difficult times. It is usually described with light metaphors — a ray,
a beam, a glimmer of hope; the break in the clouds; the light at the end of the
dark tunnel. It is often discovered in unexpected places.

Hope can be learned with practice. Certain attitudes support it. One is patience,
an ability to tolerate delays, a willingness to let events unfold in their own time.
The other is courage, an attitude of confidence even when facing the unknown.
A third is persistence, the determination to keep going no matter what happens.
We have hope when we can say, all will be well, and we mean it.

A WOLF AND ROSE

Nothing escaped his sight,
as he walked tenderly through the snow
in glade he came upon it there,
a single rose of beauty that had risen from beneath the snow.
As he trudged through the snow, lonesome and weary
having no special place to go, the rose was quietly waiting
from the depths of ground below
Dare he proceed without caution,
and let the beauty of the rose
become the ruler within
but the rose was such a challenge,
he dare not pass it by,
for only her beauty was in the view from his eyes.
For the rose upon the snow,
was beauty that lay upon the ground.
Such tenderness within her, soft petals all around,
the wolf was amazed that in the snowy blanket
such a rose could be found
He paced around the rose waiting for his prey
to make a sound or movement
on that cold winter day,
then the wolf lay down beside her
upon the snowy ground.
His sense of protection was gathered all around.
His warmth surrounded her, but the rose lay quietly
within the blanket of snow for bound by
the roots beneath her she had no place to go.
Beauty in the forest wild reaching for the sun
she feared that her beauty was soon to be outdone
for even with the warmth and protection the wolf who
laid beside her in the snow
the rose would not be able to live beneath the snow.
But the wolf stayed beside her
through all the storms and wind
for the rose had stirred something in his heart
and he felt warmth from deep within.
When the storms of winter passed
and warmth was in the ground,
the rose continued to grow
because of the warmth from the wolf she had found.
His beauty lay within him
and his protection had in part
let the rose beneath the snow
gather winter warmth from his heart
Among the wilderness of imagination this story has no end
because it is about a love that can only grow from deep within.
Be it a wolf and a rose in the snow or two people that love each other
and need to say ... I love You
With All My Heart

when you're up against a trouble,
Meet it squarely, face to face;
Lift your chin and set your shoulders,
Plant your feet and take a brace.
When it's vain to try to dodge it,
Do the best that you can do;
You may fail, but you may conquer,
See it through!

Black may be the clouds about you
And your future may seem grim,
But don't let your nerve desert you;
Keep yourself in fighting trim.
If the worse is bound to happen,
Spite of all that you can do,
Running from it will not save you,
See it through!

Even hope may seem but futile,
When with troubles you're beset,
But remember you are facing
Just what other men have met.
You may fail, but fall still fighting;
Don't give up, whate'er you do;
Eyes front, head high to the finish.
See it through!

Spring

Dandelions blossom giving way to tiny sky dancers
Butterflies float in a graceful ballet of bright hope
Spring bursting forth, alive in nature’s rebirth
Rainbows reaching love to us to help us cope

And the Silver Web surrounds us all - resonate and alive
And life flows in a circle – continuous and unending
And real love needs no reason and once given is forever
And in love we cease to be, into the greater whole now blending

It is Spring and the world is alive, reaching her healing to me
I gather strength from her sun’s warmth, to face what is
I draw on her love and hope, to face what I know will be
And I reach out to those around me knowing that love lives

And Spring returns and my heart soars with her tiny sky dancers,
and as the flowers open to the warmth of the sun my heart opens
to the healing warmth of love.
And faerie song fills the air and hope resonates.

HOPE SOARS

Hope soars on the wings of an eagle
flying free and riding on the winds of peace
Lifting hearts to the healing heights of love
Spring brings rebirth of life and renewal of spirit
Flames of hope, keep them burning with faith of heart
Don't stop believeing in home and love
each step you take on the path of peace is never alone
When your steps falter, just reach out, we are here
Look to each side and you will see family
Hope soars on the wings of eagles to heights that only love can reach
Let your heart take flight with the eagles

DAWN

A new dawn begins and the sun rises
bids the starry night a peaceful journey
into his slumbers and dreams of love
The world awakens to misty memories
of gentle touches from the ones above.
In dreams we dance on the silver clouds

A new dawn awakens a new beginning
Let your heart and soul rise again
To greet the morning and rebirth
of hope and healing of soul

A new dawn awakens the heart
to memories and beliefs in the next
sunrise of loving guides from above
Let heart and soul soar and greet
The new day, let the warmth show
You there is hope and the heart
can go on and find love again

A new day a new dawn
Let each day each moment
shine let others touch you
Let others enter your heart

As the sun sets she greets
The starry night and welcomes
the star who waits
The world closes their eyes to rest
and in dreams we meet
To dance on the silver clouds
